State Bureau, New Delhi: In a major administrative reshuffle aimed at streamlining governance, the Delhi government has reassigned responsibilities of 22 senior officials. This includes 16 IAS officers and 6 DANICS officers. While some officers have been given additional responsibilities, others have had their duties reduced.
Meanwhile, within the Transport Department, 24 officials at the inspector and section officer level have also been transferred. Vikas Anand, Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given the additional charge of the Information & Public Relations Department. Additionally, two DANICS officers have been posted in the Chief Minister’s Office.
According to the order issued by the Services Department of the Delhi Government, following the instructions of Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena, several AGMUT cadre IAS officers have been reassigned. Sandeep Kumar will now handle vigilance, environment and forest, along with the additional charge of Principal Secretary (IT).
An officer who was previously handling additional charges of General Administration Department (GAD), Social Welfare, SC/ST/OBC Welfare will now continue as Principal Secretary of Social Welfare, while also retaining additional responsibility for SC/ST/OBC Welfare. Shurbir Singh, who is currently handling the role of Secretary in the Power and Electricity Department, will now also oversee the GAD as an additional responsibility.
Prince Dhawan will continue as Managing Director of DTC and Special Commissioner of Transport, while also taking on the additional charge of Special Secretary (IT). G. Sudhakar, DM of Central District, has been given the additional responsibility of Managing Director of Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation. The Deputy Commissioner Headquarters will now also serve as DM Headquarters and Special Secretary (NCR).
Anjali Sahrawat, currently serving as Director of the Social Welfare Department, has been transferred to the posts of Director (Higher Education) and Director (Technical Education). Dr. Kinni Singh, who was handling duties as Special Secretary in the Health Department, will now take on the additional roles of Secretary of the Public Grievances Commission and Project Director of the Delhi State AIDS Control Society.
Sunil Anchpaka has been assigned the additional charge of Special Secretary in the Tourism Department. DANICS officer Dr. Nidhi Sarohe has been appointed as Joint Secretary, and Prashant Kumar has been posted as Additional Secretary (Public Grievances Cell) in the Chief Minister’s Office.
Meanwhile, the Transport Department has transferred 24 officials. Among these, six District Transport Officers (DTOs) have been reshuffled. Sampat Nayak has been assigned to the Scrapping Cell, and Rakesh Kumar has been moved from Mall Road to ARU, Section Officer – Operations. Mukesh Budhiraja, who was previously handling dual roles as Section Officer (Operations) and DTO Headquarters, will now exclusively handle DTO Headquarters duties.
Rakesh Kumar, earlier DTO of the South Zone, will now oversee operations and policy as Section Officer. Rakesh Vaidya will replace the current officer at Burari, while Sunil Chauhan, who was serving in Burari, will now take over duties in Jhuljhuli.
