Baddi, Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh), June 25, 2026: Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited, the manufacturer of Amaron Batteries, in collaboration with its authorized franchise partners and the Nalagarh-Baddi Truck Operators Union, successfully organized a three-day health and awareness campaign for truck drivers and transporters in the Baddi-Nalagarh Industrial Area from June 23 to June 25, 2026.
The initiative was conducted under Amaron’s campaign theme, “Prepared for the Long Journey” (Tayyari Lambe Safar Ki), focusing on the health, safety, and overall well-being of truck drivers while promoting efficient fleet management and cost-saving practices among transport operators.
The campaign commenced with a Transporters’ Meet held at the office of the Nalagarh-Baddi Truck Operators Union. The event brought together transporters, fleet owners, and industry experts who engaged in discussions on practical strategies to reduce operational costs, improve vehicle performance, and enhance profitability in the transportation business.
As part of the initiative, free health check-up and eye examination camps were organized for truck drivers. Medical professionals conducted routine health screenings aimed at identifying common health concerns faced by drivers, who often spend long hours on the road under demanding conditions. The health camps received an encouraging response from the transport community, highlighting the growing need for such welfare-oriented programs.
In addition to the medical camps, technical teams carried out vehicle inspection and maintenance awareness sessions. These inspections focused on ensuring better road safety, improved vehicle efficiency, and preventive maintenance practices that can help transporters avoid costly breakdowns and reduce downtime.
The Nalagarh-Baddi Truck Operators Union, one of the region’s most influential transport bodies representing a fleet of over 12,000 trucks, played a crucial role in mobilizing participation and supporting the smooth execution of the campaign. Union representatives encouraged drivers and fleet owners to take advantage of the health services and technical guidance provided during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, a spokesperson from Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited emphasized the importance of supporting the transport sector. “Truck drivers and transporters are the backbone of the logistics industry. Through this initiative, we aim to contribute to their health, safety, and business growth while spreading awareness about efficient fleet management and cost-saving measures,” the spokesperson said.
The company also expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the Nalagarh-Baddi Truck Operators Union for their active cooperation and participation. Amara Raja reaffirmed its commitment to creating a safer, more sustainable, and more efficient transportation ecosystem through community-focused initiatives and long-term partnerships.
The campaign reflects a growing emphasis on driver welfare and operational excellence within India’s logistics sector. By combining health services, safety awareness, and business guidance, the initiative sought to address both the personal well-being of drivers and the operational challenges faced by transport businesses, contributing to a stronger and more resilient transport network in the region.
