Temperature to Cross 40°C in Lucknow
Heatwave conditions will intensify in Uttar Pradesh. The temperature in Lucknow is expected to cross 40°C, while Gorakhpur may see temperatures rising up to 42°C in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has predicted clear skies and strong sunlight across the state.
Rain and Humidity to Continue in Bihar
Due to the impact of a western disturbance, Bihar is likely to experience light rainfall and winds of up to 50 km/h over the next 48 hours. Despite this, temperatures in Patna are rising steadily and may reach 41°C by April 22.
Heatwave and Dust Storm Alert in Rajasthan
Rajasthan continues to face extreme heat. On April 17, regions including Jaipur, Bikaner, and Bharatpur divisions may experience dust storms along with light drizzle. However, western parts of the state could see temperatures soaring up to 43°C.
Precautions and Advisory
People are advised to avoid going out between 12 PM and 4 PM due to extreme heat. Stay hydrated and wear light cotton clothes. Residents in northeastern states such as Assam and Meghalaya should remain cautious of sudden heavy rainfall and lightning incidents.
