Narela Factory Fire: A major fire broke out in Delhi’s Narela Industrial Area on Saturday morning, engulfing a shoe manufacturing factory. The blaze spread rapidly, and within minutes, the entire building was surrounded by thick smoke and flames. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
Panic at 7:45 AM
According to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), they received a distress call about the fire at around 7:45 AM. Due to the presence of highly flammable materials such as rubber and plastic inside the factory, the fire intensified quickly and took a severe form.
Firefighting Operations Underway
Following the alert, 17 fire tenders were rushed to the spot one after another. Fire department officials stated that narrow lanes in the area and dense smoke are making firefighting operations challenging. However, efforts to douse the flames are ongoing, and more fire engines may be deployed if required.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation as firefighting teams work to bring the blaze under control.
