Greater Noida. Preparations for the inauguration of the Noida International Airport have begun, with officials drawing up a detailed plan. From the public gathering venue to officials’ responsibilities, routes to the event site, and security arrangements, strategies are being finalized to ensure smooth execution.
Although the inauguration date has not yet been announced, authorities are moving ahead with groundwork so that once the date is confirmed, arrangements can be implemented on the ground without delay.
On Tuesday, YEIDA and Noida International Airport Limited CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh, along with nodal officer Shailendra Bhatia, inspected possible sites for the inauguration event. They also held a meeting with officials of Yamuna International Airport Private Limited.
The Jewar-based airport, set to become NCR’s second international airport, is nearing completion. According to officials, most of the work has already been finished, and the airport will be ready for inauguration by next month.
The Uttar Pradesh government has sent a proposal to have Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurate the airport. Once the date is finalized, preparations at the ground level will begin in full swing. Meanwhile, YEIDA, the developer company, and the police administration have already started drafting a strategy for the grand opening.
