Ghaziabad: Tension prevailed in Wave City, one of the country’s prominent high-tech townships, as a group of unruly elements allegedly created chaos in the name of farmers’ compensation. Residents have expressed strong resentment over repeated protests that, they claim, are being staged despite clear communication from the administration.
According to reports, the group forced its way into the Wave City premises on Tuesday and attempted to stage a demonstration, disregarding administrative instructions. The situation reportedly caused significant inconvenience to officials and created an atmosphere of fear among local residents.
The protest took place near the Wave City police station and close to Chhabil Dass Public School, where hundreds of students attend classes daily. The commotion left many children frightened, while parents grew anxious over the possibility of any untoward incident during the demonstration.
Sources said that certain individuals have been repeatedly pressuring the Wave City management in the name of compensation. However, authorities have clarified that compensation was already paid as per the agreement reached between the management and the farmers. The matter was also taken to court but was reportedly dismissed.
Despite this, the protestors continue to create tension in the area, leading to concerns among residents about safety and public order.
