Ghaziabad: Once again, disruptive elements are attempting to create an environment of protest against the Wave City management. This comes despite the fact that, following court orders, the administration had already removed the earlier group of protestors. However, some miscreants are now preparing to stage fresh demonstrations in the name of farmers, using unlawful means.
According to sources, a meeting was recently held where a threat to launch an agitation under the banner of farmers was issued. The Wave City management has already clarified that all genuine demands of the farmers have been fulfilled. The renewed warnings of protest have created fear among residents of Wave City, who worry that the ongoing development work might get disrupted again.
Local residents shared that previous protests had hampered construction work, as miscreants blocked the supply of construction materials, forcing work to be stalled.
It is noteworthy that Wave City’s location—well-connected to both the Eastern Peripheral Expressway and the Delhi–Meerut Expressway—has made it an attractive destination for homebuyers. Many people are choosing Wave City to escape overcrowded areas, and a large number have purchased plots to construct homes as per their preferences.
According to reports, Wave Group launched this township project around 2009–10 under the state’s Hi-Tech Township Policy, promising technology-integrated homes and expansive green spaces. Though the project was affected earlier due to farmers’ protests, it is now progressing smoothly following court orders. As a result, buyer interest has surged once again.
Wave City’s rising popularity is also driven by its eco-friendly environment and strong focus on resident safety. Its planning ensures that even middle-class families can enjoy modern amenities in one place. Designed by one of the world’s leading engineering firms, Wave City is not just a significant project for Ghaziabad—it stands out as one of the most unique township developments in the entire country.
