Gold Price Today: Massive Surge in Gold Rates Ahead of Dhanteras — Check Prices in Delhi and Other Major Cities

National Desk: In the run-up to Dhanteras, gold prices have seen a sharp surge across India. Both gold and silver prices have risen significantly on a weekly basis. In the national capital Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has increased by ₹5,680 over the past week, reaching ₹1,25,230 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold has gone up by ₹5,200, now priced at ₹1,14,800 per 10 grams.

  • Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata:
    • 24-carat gold – ₹1,25,080 per 10 grams
    • 22-carat gold – ₹1,14,650 per 10 grams
  • Jaipur, Lucknow, and Chandigarh:
    • 24-carat gold – ₹1,25,230 per 10 grams
    • 22-carat gold – ₹1,14,800 per 10 grams
  • Bhopal and Ahmedabad:
    • 24-carat gold – ₹1,25,130 per 10 grams
    • 22-carat gold – ₹1,14,700 per 10 grams
  • Hyderabad:
    • 24-carat gold – ₹1,19,400 per 10 grams

Silver Prices Also See a Sharp Jump

Silver prices have also recorded a strong rally this week. The price of silver surged by ₹25,000, reaching ₹1,80,000 per kilogram on October 12. During September, silver prices rose by 19.4%. Silver remains an attractive investment option, and it also holds significant industrial demand, accounting for around 60–70% of total consumption.
