Top Players Go Under the Hammer at UP Kabaddi League Season 2 Auction

Noida: The player auction for Season 2 of the Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi League (UPKL) concluded today at the Sarovar Premier Hotel in Greater Noida West. League founder Sambhav Jain told that following the success of the first season, the league has expanded this year with the inclusion of four new teams. Thus, a total of 12 teams will be competing in Season 2, including Lucknow Lions, Yamuna Yoddha, Noida Ninja, Gazab Ghaziabad, Kashi Kings, Avadh Ramdoot, Bridge Stars, Sangam Challengers, Ganga Kings (Mirzapur), Aligarh Tigers, Kanpur Warriors, and Purvanchal Panthers.

Players were divided into four categories based on their experience and performance level in the auction. The player auction was conducted in an open-bid, live format in the presence of franchise owners, team officials, and league representatives.

During the auction, Eminent Sports Personality and UPKL brand ambassador Rahul Chaudhary, and franchise owner Awadh Ramdoot, Awadh Ojha were present as chief guests. Besides these, Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Kabaddi Association Rajesh Singh, Vinay Kumar Singh from UP Kabaddi Federation, Technical Director UPKL Tej narayan, Media Director UPKL Kunal Sharma and promoter of UPKL Rahul Sharma were also present.

Sambhav Jain told that the event is being powered by Cricbattle, which has been appointed as the official auction technology partner of UPKL. UPKL Season 2 will officially begin on December 25, 2025. All matches will be played in Noida.
