Ayodhya’s Dr. Swami Bharat Das Ji Maharaj to Launch Nationwide Campaign for Promotion of Sanskrit

New Delhi. Under the aegis of the Ramayan Research Council, Dr. Swami Bharat Das Ji Maharaj of Ayodhya has announced a nationwide campaign to promote and popularize the Sanskrit language. He said the initiative aims to create awareness among the Sanatan community about the teaching and training of Sanskrit and to encourage active participation in preserving this ancient language.

Dr. Swami Bharat Das Ji, the Mahant of Udasin Sangat Rishi Ashram (Ranopali, Ayodhya) and Trustee of the Ramayan Research Council, informed that a 60-day Sanskrit course has been specially designed under the Council’s guidance. As part of this program, 60 educational videos will also be produced. Through these videos and accompanying textbooks, training camps will be organized at various institutions across the country to educate people about the importance of Sanskrit—often referred to as Dev Bhasha—and the need to preserve it.

The General Secretary of the Ramayan Research Council, Kumar Sushant, stated that the organization honors eminent personalities working for the upliftment of Sanskrit every year. He also mentioned that for the past three years, the Council has been publishing a fortnightly magazine titled “Ramayan Varta” in Sanskrit, with Dr. Swami Bharat Das Ji Maharaj serving as its Chief Editor.

Dr. Bharat Das Ji further said that IIT Patna is the nodal institution for Ramayan Varta and is making continuous efforts to reach the divine language to every Sanatan family through the use of technology. He added that other IITs across the country will also be associated with this initiative. Under the banner of the Ramayan Research Council, a large-scale campaign will be launched for the upliftment of Sanskrit.

He appealed to Sanskrit scholars across the country to join this movement and contribute through voluntary service. Dr. Bharat Das Ji also praised the Central Government and the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government for their efforts in promoting the Sanskrit language and Sanatan culture.
