Delhi-NCR Rains: Heavy Traffic Jams on Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Other Routes Due to Downpour

New Delhi. Delhi-NCR Weather Update – Several parts of Delhi-NCR are witnessing heavy rainfall. While the showers have brought relief from the scorching heat, waterlogging has turned into a major problem for commuters.

Rain started in some areas from Friday morning itself. Due to the downpour, waterlogging and traffic congestion have been reported in multiple places, causing significant trouble for office-goers.

A major traffic jam was seen near Pandav Nagar on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. Similarly, heavy traffic congestion has been reported on Anand Vihar Road and Ghazipur Road due to rain. Commuters are facing severe inconvenience as a result.

In Greater Noida, traffic slowed down heavily on NH-34 near Chapraula, where waterlogging added to the chaos.

Meanwhile, light showers on Thursday had already made the weather pleasant in the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall today as well. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 30°C, while the minimum may hover around 23.5°C, which is about one degree below normal.
