New Delhi: Preparations for Ganesh idol immersion during the Ganesh festival have been intensified by the district administration in the national capital. To ensure the convenience and safety of devotees, five sites have been designated for the immersion rituals.
Three locations have already been finalized: Ajmal Khan Park in Karol Bagh, Gopal Malik Park in Kotwali area, and a designated site in Civil Lines. The remaining two spots will also be in the Civil Lines area, and their details will be announced soon.
The administration has issued clear instructions regarding special deployment of police forces, sanitation arrangements, and traffic management at these sites.
Additionally, extra staff will be deployed for crowd control and smooth guidance of devotees during the immersion ceremonies.
An official stated that the district administration is committed to providing every possible facility for devotees. He added, “Ganesh idol immersion is a symbol of both religious faith and cultural tradition. The administration is ensuring that devotees can perform the rituals with peace, safety, and devotion.”
All preparations are scheduled to be completed on time to avoid any inconvenience.
Like previous years, this time too, environmental protection has been prioritized, and necessary arrangements are being made at the immersion sites. The administration has also appealed to the public not to immerse Ganesh idols in the Yamuna River.
