Double the Travel Fun This Summer: Railways Launches Summer Special Train- Check Schedule and Route

Summer Special Train 2025: In a welcome move for travelers, the Indian Railways has announced a special summer train service between Madar and Rohtak to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the holiday season. The North Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Captain Shashi Kiran, stated that the service will run daily from June 8 to June 30, 2025, completing 23 trips in total.

Daily Schedule and Relief for Passengers
The special train will depart daily from Madar at 4:30 AM and arrive in Rohtak at 12:50 PM. On the return journey, Train No. 09640 will leave Rohtak at 1:20 PM and reach Madar at 10:35 PM the same day. This daily service is expected to provide great convenience to passengers from both cities during the summer vacation rush.

Route and Station Stops
The train will connect several key stations, offering relief to local commuters as well. It will halt at the following stations:
Kishangarh, Narena, Phulera, Renwal, Badhal, Ringas, Shri Madhopur, Kawant, Bhageda, Neem Ka Thana, Mawda, Dabla, Nizampur, Narnaul, Ateli, Kund, Rewari, Gokalgarh, Jhajjar, and Abohar.

Coach Composition
The train will have a total of 12 coaches, including 10 general (unreserved) class coaches and 2 guard vans. These unreserved coaches are designed to accommodate a large number of passengers and make travel more accessible and affordable for the common man.

Facilities for Passengers
This train is completely unreserved, ensuring that more passengers can benefit from the service without prior bookings. Ticket prices are kept economical, making it budget-friendly for the general public. The Railways has also advised passengers to travel with valid tickets and arrive early at stations to avoid crowding.

Additionally, this train offers direct travel access to Khatu Shyam Temple in Sikar district — a significant pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Krishna and Barbarik — making it a boon for devotees.

Positive Response from Public
Passengers have warmly welcomed this initiative. Local traveler Surendra Singh shared, “This train is a blessing for those visiting Khatu Shyam Temple.” Railway officials noted that the service aims to manage the increasing crowd during the summer break efficiently.

For further information, passengers can contact the Railway Helpline at 139 or visit the official website indianrail.gov.in.

This special train is expected to significantly ease travel for both pilgrims and general passengers during the peak summer season.
