Good News Today: Indigo Launches Flights to Nine Cities from Hindon Airport, NCR Residents to Benefit

Sahibabad: Starting Sunday, IndiGo Airlines has launched direct flight services from the Hindon Airport Civil Terminal to nine major cities — Goa, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi. The inauguration was conducted by Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu at 1:00 PM. With this addition, Hindon Airport is now connected to a total of 16 cities.

Union Minister Flags Off New Flights

At the launch event, Union Minister Naidu was joined by local MP Atul Garg, representatives from IndiGo, and other senior officials. The minister stated that this step will play a key role in enhancing regional connectivity and improving air travel convenience for passengers from the region.

Flights Already in Operation Earlier

Before this development, Hindon Airport already had flight services operated by Air India Express to cities like Jaipur, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Adampur, Kishangarh, Patna, Nanded, and Bathinda. With the inclusion of Indore and reintroduction of Ahmedabad under IndiGo’s network, connectivity from Hindon Airport is now more robust.

Major Relief for NCR Travelers

According to Umesh Yadav, Director of the Airports Authority of India, the launch of these new flights will significantly ease travel for residents of the National Capital Region (NCR). It is expected to save both time and travel costs for passengers and further promote regional air connectivity.

This expansion of flight services marks a major milestone for Hindon Airport and provides a much-needed alternative for NCR travelers who often depend on Delhi Airport. With IndiGo’s entry, flight frequency and route diversity are set to improve, making travel more accessible and efficient for all.
