India’s first solar-powered car launched, starting at ₹3 lakh

The auto industry has been witnessing a series of new launches, and as part of this, a Pune-based electric vehicle startup company launched India’s first solar-powered car, the Vayve Eva, at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. This car is 3 meters in size and is priced at ₹3.25 lakh.

The company claims that this electric car can run up to 250 km on a single charge. The Vayve Eva is available in three variants: Nova, Stella, and Vega. The price of the first variant, Nova, is ₹3.25 lakh, Stella costs ₹3.99 lakh, and the Vega variant is priced at ₹4.49 lakh.

As for the features, the car comes with an AC, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto connectivity system. Its dimensions are 3060 mm in length, 1150 mm in width, and it has a ground clearance of 170 mm. The solar car has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes on the rear wheels. The car is equipped with electric power steering and has a turning radius of 3.9 meters. The top speed of the car is 70 km/h.
