UP Weather News: Winter has tightened its grip in Uttar Pradesh even before December begins. Several cities across the state are experiencing dense fog and cold wave conditions. In the past 24 hours, the minimum temperature has dropped to 7°C. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures may dip further in the coming days, increasing cold conditions across various districts.
Dry Weather in Eastern & Western UP, Morning Fog Likely
As per the Regional Meteorological Centre in Amausi, Lucknow, the weather will remain dry on 29 November in the eastern and western parts of the state. However, many districts are likely to witness light to moderate fog in the morning.
Cities where fog is expected on Saturday morning include:
Varanasi, Ghaziabad, Shamli, Meerut, Kanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Prayagraj, Aligarh, Mathura, and Ghazipur.
Weather in Lucknow to Change Within 24 Hours
In the state capital Lucknow, weather conditions are expected to change in the next 24 hours. According to the Met Department:
- 30 November: Cloudy skies
- 1 December: Similar cloudy conditions
- 29 November: The day will begin with light fog
Temperature Forecast for Lucknow:
- Maximum: 28°C
- Minimum: 12°C
Noida and Ghaziabad will also see foggy mornings, though daytime weather will remain normal.
Temperature to Drop Further After Three Days
BHU meteorologist Prof. Manoj Kumar Srivastava stated that temperatures across several UP districts may drop further in the next three days. Both maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to fall by around 3°C. With this temperature dip, fog and cold conditions will intensify.
