The highly anticipated sci-fi supernatural thriller Baida, directed by Puneet Sharma and written by Sudhanshu Rai, will hit cinemas across India on March 21, 2025. Following the success of Tumbbad and Brahmyugm, this film promises to deliver an unsettling cinematic experience with elements like deserted cottages, lanterns, dense forests, and a maze of confusion.
Based on one of Sudhanshu Rai’s popular audio story series, Baida is produced under the banner of Saints Art, the same production house behind the hit horror-comedy Chai Patti. Set in India’s Hindi heartland, the film offers a unique twist on the sci-fi supernatural genre.
Director Puneet Sharma describes Baida as a tale of a protagonist who navigates through multiple dimensions and timeframes, encountering strange individuals and experiences along the way. Sudhanshu Rai, who also stars in the film, promises an extraordinary cinematic journey for his fans, bringing them into his fictional universe where a former spy battles the dark forces of time and death.
The cast includes Shobhit Sujay, Manisha Rai, Tarun Khanna, Saurabh Raj Jain, Hiten Tejwani, Akhlaq Ahmed Azad, and Pradeep Kabra, with Prateek Shetty as the editor and Abhishek Modak handling the cinematography.
