In response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian Army carried out an airstrike late Tuesday night on nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan. This retaliatory action by India has been named ‘Operation Sindoor’.

India struck nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Tuesday night where plans were being made for attacks against India.

In a press conference about #OperationSindoor, the Indian Army shared details of the mission with the Indian public. Addressing the press conference, Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh briefed the media on Operation Sindoor. They stated that the operation was conducted between 1:05 AM and 1:30 AM during the intervening night of May 6 and 7. Nine terrorist camps were destroyed.

Colonel Sophia explained that the targets were chosen based on credible intelligence. Care was taken to avoid harm to innocent civilians. She warned that if Pakistan dares to take any aggressive action, it will be met with a strong response.
