Greater Noida, June 25: In a major crackdown on illegal land encroachment, the Greater Noida Authority took swift action on Wednesday and freed approximately 40,000 square meters of government land valued at ₹80 crore in the Bhanauta village area. The anti-encroachment drive, popularly known as the operation of “Baba’s Bulldozer” in Uttar Pradesh, was carried out under the ongoing campaign against unauthorized constructions.
What is “Baba’s Bulldozer”?
The term “Baba’s Bulldozer” has become symbolic of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s firm stance against encroachment and illegal constructions. Whenever illegal structures are demolished across the state, including Noida and Greater Noida, it is popularly referred to as the act of “Baba’s Bulldozer.”
Massive Operation in Bhanauta Village
On Wednesday, under the instructions of CEO NG Ravi Kumar, the Greater Noida Authority launched an anti-encroachment drive in the notified area of Bhanauta village. Colonizers were allegedly trying to illegally plot and sell government land without obtaining proper approvals or maps.
Leading the operation, ACEO Prerna Singh and the Project Department’s Work Circle 2 team, along with General Manager AK Singh, executed the demolition. Singh informed that the encroachers were illegally plotting land under Khasra number 366 and had ignored previously issued notices by the Authority.
6 JCBs, 5 Dumpers, and 3 Hours of Demolition
The Authority’s team, which included OSD Ram Nayan Singh, Senior Manager Sunny Yadav, Prabhat Shankar, Manager Swatantra Verma, Vivek Kishor, Abhishek Pal, Nitish Kumar, JE Naresh Gupta, Harinder Singh, and Ram Kishan, carried out the operation with local police support. The demolition was completed in three hours with the help of six JCBs and five dumpers.
Stern Warning from the Authority
Following the operation, ACEO Sumit Yadav issued a strict warning to illegal colonizers, stating that no construction will be tolerated without proper approvals or sanctioned maps. He urged the public to consult the Greater Noida Authority before buying any property in the region to avoid falling prey to illegal colonies and losing their hard-earned money.
The reclaimed land, now secured under the Authority’s control, sends a strong message that illegal encroachments in Greater Noida will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
