Banaras Literature and Art Festival 2025: A Grand Cultural Spectacle in Varanasi

Varanasi is going to play host to an extraordinary encounter of art, literature, and culture with the third installment of Banaras Literature and Art Festival. Taking place from March 7th to March 9th, 2025, at Taj Ganges, Banaras, the huge event shall prove to be an enriching affair for arts and literature admirers.

Deepak Madhok, Organizing Committee President, declared that the festival will be opened on March 7th at 12 PM. Lakshman Acharya, Honorable Governor of Assam, will be the chief guest, with Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh, Deputy Speaker of the Rajya Sabha, as a special guest.

Varanasi—or Kashi, or Banaras—is a place that has always been a light of artistic and literary excellence. The city nurtured legends like Sant Kabir, Munshi Premchand, Ustad Bismillah Khan, and Pandit Ravi Shankar, along with classical dance legend Sitara Devi.This festival celebrates its rich past, hoping to provide a pulsating platform for cultural interaction.

Now in its third edition, the festival hopes to be an active cultural symposium, bringing together illustrious artists, poets, and intellectuals. One of the highlights will be felicitating eminent writers, with more than 500 authors, publishers, and poets likely to participate.

The festival will include the who’s who of the industry, such as Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, author Amish Tripathi, film celebrity Ila Arun, actor-director Amol Palekar, writer Karan Madhok, folk singer Malini Awasthi, and storyteller Neelesh Misra.
