Good News! LPG Cylinder Prices Reduced on the First Day of the Month — Check the New Rates in Your City

National Desk: There’s relief for consumers at the start of November 2025 as LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) prices have been reduced slightly. The drop in international crude oil prices has now begun to reflect in India’s domestic energy market.

India’s three major state-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs)Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) — have announced a ₹5 reduction in the price of commercial LPG cylinders (19 kg). The new rates came into effect from November 1, 2025.

Why Have LPG Prices Been Reduced?

In recent weeks, global crude oil prices have slipped below $85 per barrel, leading to lower production costs for petroleum byproducts, including LPG. Since LPG is a byproduct of crude oil refining and natural gas processing, any dip in crude oil prices directly reduces the input costs for gas companies.

To pass on this benefit, the oil companies decided to cut commercial LPG prices at the start of November, providing some relief to hotels, restaurants, and small businesses. However, there has been no change in domestic LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) prices.

How Much Cheaper Is the Cylinder Now?

According to Indian Oil Corporation’s official website, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi has been reduced from ₹1,595.50 to ₹1,590.50, offering a direct benefit of ₹5 per cylinder.

Meanwhile, the domestic LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) remains unchanged at ₹853 per unit in Delhi. The same rates apply across HPCL and BPCL networks as well.
