Salman Khan Reacts to Death Threats: “Jitni Umar Likhi Hai, Utni Hai”

Salman Khan recently spoke about the death threats he received from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. During the promotion of his upcoming movie Sikandar in Mumbai, the Bollywood icon addressed the media on whether he is ever scared after facing multiple threats last year.

Salman recognized the heightened security surrounding him and conceded that continuous protection is burdensome. He stated, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai.”

In April 2024, there were gunshots fired near Salman’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, Mumbai. The attack was later attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang after Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of the gangster, took responsibility for it in a Facebook post. After the incident, Salman’s security was greatly enhanced.

By July, the actor had recorded his statement in relation to the attack. He testified to having heard a “cracker-like sound” in the early morning hours before his police bodyguard told him that two men on a bicycle had shot at his balcony. He stated his conviction that the Bishnoi gang was responsible for the attack, pointing to earlier threats and public utterances by gang members against attacking him.

Salman also accused the gang of planning to murder his family and him while they were at home. He again expressed his belief that the attack was a premeditated attempt on his life, carried out at the behest of Lawrence Bishnoi and his cohorts.
