Truth and history have been distorted through narratives : Dattatreya Hosabale

New Delhi: The book “Mantra-Viplav” by senior journalist and former Panchjanya editor Tarun Vijay was launched on Thursday at the World Book Fair being held at Bharat Mandapam. The event took place at the Theme Pavilion, Hall No. 5.

Addressing the gathering, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said that truth and history have been distorted through misleading narratives. He remarked that a narrative was deliberately created to suggest that Aryans came from outside India, whereas, according to him, this claim is untrue. “Falsehoods were established as truth, and through incorrect narratives, history was distorted. This needs to be corrected,” he said.

Rajya Sabha MP and noted thinker Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi said that a section of India’s intellectual class is under the influence of what he termed the “M Factor” — Macaulay, Marx, and Mughal. “These three have deeply influenced people’s minds. Our objective is to free society from this mindset,” he said. He also added that no one can be both leftist and liberal at the same time, yet the term “left-liberal” is widely used.

Speaking about his book, author Tarun Vijay said that “Mantra-Viplav” focuses on ideas and forces that are anti-human and harmful to society. Through this collection of essays, he has attempted to explain how India can confront the challenges it faces today.

The book has been published by Prabhat Prakashan. The launch event was also attended by Prabhat Prakashan Director Prabhat Kumar and Piyush Kumar.
