Prime Minister Narendra Modi Takes a Holy Dip at Triveni Sangam During Mahakumbh

On the auspicious day of the Mahakumbh’s Ashtami, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. On Wednesday morning, he arrived by helicopter at the helipad at the DPS ground in the Mahakumbh city. From there, he traveled by car to the Aral VIP jetty and then took the Nishadraj cruise to reach the Sangam, where he bathed in the Triveni (the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers). After the dip, he performed Ganga Puja and prayed for the welfare of the nation. He was later joined by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for a boat ride to the Triveni Sangam, where they both reached while chanting mantras, with Modi wearing a Rudraksha mala.

The Mahakumbh, which started on Poush Purnima (13th January), is the largest spiritual and cultural gathering in the world, attracting devotees from across the globe. It will continue until Mahashivaratri on 26th February. This year’s Mahakumbh, being held after 12 years, has already attracted more than 38 crore pilgrims from India and around the world.
