New Delhi: The Delhi Journalists Association (DJA) started distributing membership ID cards to its members on Tuesday. The event was held at DJA’s office on 7 Jantar Mantar Road.
DJA President Rakesh Thapliyal presented the first ID card to DJA’s senior member and National President of the National Union of Journalists (India), Ras Bihari. Following this, Ras Bihari handed over ID cards to several other members present at the event.
Ras Bihari mentioned that after many years, a good initiative has been started in DJA and urged all members to provide their latest details as soon as possible. He also announced that the National Union of Journalists (India) is preparing a national ID card for media personnel. Anyone across the country who wants this ID card will have to apply through their state unit.
On the first day, ID cards were distributed to the following DJA members: Rasa Bihari, Rakesh Thapliyal, Shri Ashok Kinkar, Krishna Dev Pathak, Amit Goud, Manvendra Kumar, Ashok Bardhwal, Dheerendra Dua, Priy Ranjan, and Pradeep Srivastava.
