Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R. Madhavan star in the upcoming film, Kesari Chapter 2. Posters of the characters were unveiled, and after that, expectations among fans could only increase. Now, makers have announced when the eagerly anticipated trailer will hit the screens – on April 2.
The official announcement stated, “Get ready to see the untold tale of Jallianwala Bagh. The much-awaited trailer of #KesariChapter2 will be released tomorrow! Releasing in theaters on April 18, 2025.” With the announcement, a new poster with the lead actors has also been unveiled.
Akshay Kumar posted the poster on Instagram, saying, “1650 bullets, 10 minutes, and 1 man who roared against it. Witness the truth behind the horrid genocide that shook India. #KesariChapter2 trailer out tomorrow. In cinemas April 18, worldwide.” He introduced his character as C. Sankaran Nair, a man who dared to defy the empire.
Ananya Panday has been welcomed as Dilreet Gill, wearing the attire of an advocate—a black coat, a white saree, and a neckband—along with a file in her hand. Her motion poster presents another look of her, wrapped in a dupatta. R. Madhavan’s stern look as Neville Mckinley indicates that he also stars as a lawyer. His salt-and-pepper look also contributes to his strong character.
The producers also brought Simon Paisley Day as General Reginald Dyer, the perpetrator of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is out on April 18, 2025, produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, and others.
