The Hindi Academy, under the direction of the Delhi Government’s Department of Art, Culture, and Language, plays a pivotal role in the promotion and development of the Hindi language, literature, and culture. The Academy recognizes and honors the creative contributions of various individuals in the fields of Hindi literature, writing, journalism, and poetry. By offering prestigious awards and financial recognition, it encourages the growth of Hindi as a language and culture.
Due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges in recent years, the implementation of the award scheme was delayed. However, this time, the Hindi Academy has announced the awards for three consecutive years — 2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25 — all at once. This move helps in recognizing the outstanding contributions made during these years, which were otherwise affected by external challenges.
