New Delhi:
BJP leader Vikas Tomar, while making a strong statement regarding the annual Maharana Pratap procession held from Village Sirodhan to Dehra in Dhaulana Assembly constituency of Hapur district, said that no one would be able to stop the procession dedicated to the brave warrior and symbol of Indian pride, Maharana Pratap. He stated that the procession represents self-respect, bravery, and cultural pride, and it will continue to be organized every year with full honour and enthusiasm.
Tomar’s statement came after communal tension and an incident of stone-pelting reportedly took place during the procession in Village Dehra.
He said that Maharana Pratap was not only a great warrior in history but also a living inspiration of patriotism, sacrifice, and self-respect. Attempts to create controversy around a procession connected to the country’s culture and heritage are extremely unfortunate, he added.
Vikas Tomar strongly condemned the stone-pelting incident during the procession in Dehra and said that any mindset aimed at creating social unrest and hurting the sentiments associated with historical icons can never be accepted. He emphasized that Maharana Pratap is a symbol of the nation’s honour and pride, and millions of people hold deep respect and faith in him.
He also demanded strict action against those responsible for the incident and urged the administration to take firm measures to prevent such occurrences in the future, ensuring social harmony and maintenance of law and order.
