Nidhi Tiwari Takes Charge as Personal Secretary to Prime Minister Modi

Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer Nidhi Tiwari of the 2014 batch has been appointed as the Personal Secretary (PS) to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The appointment was confirmed through an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).

Prior to this elevation, Nidhi Tiwari had been working as the Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Her elevation to the post of Personal Secretary to the Prime Minister is an important milestone in her career, which reflects her increasing clout in the government.

Nidhi Tiwari, who is well-versed in foreign affairs and administrative acumen, has had a distinguished career in the Indian Foreign Service. Her appointment is timely, as the government is still bolstering its administrative ranks to manage both domestic and foreign duties efficiently.
