The Great Record of the Maha Kumbh: The Kumbh Flag Waves at an Altitude of 13,000 Feet

Prayagraj – The Maha Kumbh, being held at the Triveni Sangam, is shaping up to be a landmark event. Among its many records, a new one has been added to the legacy of Prayagraj’s Maha Kumbh. This record is for flying the official Kumbh flag at the highest altitude in the sky.

Amid preparations for the 2025 Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, Anamika Sharma, a daughter of Prayagraj, took the Kumbh flag to the skies, inviting the world to the Maha Kumbh. On January 8, 2025, Anamika leapt from an altitude of 13,000 feet over Bangkok’s sky with the official, divine, and grand Kumbh flag. This event, marking the unique celestial alignment of the Maha Kumbh, which occurs once in 144 years, has added a divine dimension to this grand occasion.

India’s Prime Minister Modi and the dynamic Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, have shown their faith in making this Kumbh extraordinary by generously supporting its arrangements and contributing financially. Anamika Sharma, through her remarkable leap, has added an extra touch of grandeur to this sacred event. As soon as Anamika took the plunge with the Kumbh flag in the sky, people from all corners of the world, including from Prayagraj, felt a sense of pride. Congratulations and best wishes poured in for her, as people expressed their deep gratitude, acknowledging Anamika as the finest young representative of India’s culture.

Previously, on January 22, Anamika had also jumped from 13,000 feet in Bangkok to commemorate the grand opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, carrying the “Jai Shri Ram” slogan and the Ram Mandir flag. Through such feats, Anamika exemplifies her unwavering dedication to Indian culture.
